Google Business Profile Shows the Wrong Address: How to Actually Fix It

A wrong address is really two separate problems that look like one. The text field on your profile can say the correct address while the map pin sits blocks away, or the other way around. Fixing the text without checking the pin, or the pin without checking the text, is why this issue comes back for so many owners even after they've "fixed" it once.
What a wrong pin actually does
A customer trusts the map more than the words next to it. If the pin sits two blocks off, they follow the pin, not your correct street address in small text above it, and they arrive somewhere else entirely, sometimes at a competitor's door.
Fix the text address
In your Business Profile dashboard, go to Edit profile, then Business information, then Location, and correct the address fields directly. This is the easy half of the fix, and it usually updates within a day for verified profiles.

The pin is a separate coordinate from the address text, and correcting the address does not always move it. From the same Location section, look for the option to adjust the pin position on the map directly, and drag it to your actual entrance, not just the building's rooftop centroid, which is often where Google places it by default.
Why this keeps drifting back
- Public suggested edits can move either the text or the pin independently, the same mechanism behind most unauthorized field changes on a profile.
